How do I replace the front bulbs on my ARI electric vehicle?

Your ARI electric vehicle is equipped with the following lights at the front:

  • 2 LED lights per side (one for the daytime running light, one for the parking light)
  • two conventional 12V bulbs for the indicators
  • and two H1 bulbs for the main headlights.

Both the LED lights and the H1 bulbs are very durable, which is why they rarely need to be replaced.

If they do, they can be replaced in just a few simple steps.

1) Replacing an H1 bulb in a headlight

  • First press the red isolator switch on your ARI to disconnect the power supply.
  • Then open the front flap of your ARI.
  • Now unscrew the protective cap of the headlight housing and disconnect both the green and the black cable.
  • Press the clip on the bulb down towards the center of the vehicle to release the bulb from its fixation.
  • Now pull out the defective bulb.
  • Then insert a new H1 bulb, holding the flattened side of the bulb towards the mudguard.
  • Screw the bulb firmly into the socket and secure it by hooking in the clip.
  • Now reconnect the green cable to the contact point in the center and the right-hand cable to the contact on the side.
  • Then replace the protective cap and enjoy your working headlights!

2) Replacing the bulb in a turn signal

  • First reactivate the red emergency stop switch on your ARI electric vehicle to enable you to work safely.
  • Remove the front flap.
  • Now press in the plug located at the bottom front of the headlight housing and remove it in this way.
  • Then unscrew the blinker with its socket.
  • Remove the defective bulb and replace it with a new orange 21 W/12 V bulb.
  • Screw the blinker back in together with the socket and the replaced bulb.
  • Finally, replace the previously removed plug and you're done!
