Munich: What subsidy will I receive for my ARI Motors electric vehicle?
For all ARI Motors electric vehicles that are registered for the first time by December 31, 2030, the vehicle tax will be waived for a period of ten years. You can also save money if they are also used privately as company cars. This benefit must be taxed as a non-cash benefit. For an e-car with a purchase price of up to 60,000 euros, however, this is only calculated at 0.25 percent of the gross list price, which means that the tax rate is a quarter of that for an equivalent combustion vehicle. You can find out all about the tax savings here!
In addition to the regional and nationwide subsidies, all ARI Motors vehicles apart from the ARI 145 and 345 receive a high subsidy thanks to the GHG quota. This means that customers can save several hundred euros a year with the ARI 458 and ARI 901 electric vans. Find out all the details about the lucrative GHG quota worth several hundred euros here.
In addition, special depreciation allow companies to claim additional tax write-offs for investments in electric utility vehicles such as the ARI 901 electric transporter and the ARI 1570 implement carrier. Specifically, companies can claim 50 percent of the acquisition costs as special depreciation in each of the first five years. Find out all the details about special depreciation here!
Munich subsidy:
Which vehicles are subsidized?
Since June 1, 2023, buyers of ARI Motors electric vans in the Bavarian capital have again been supported with up to 3,000 euros. In addition, up to 1,000 euros in funding can be applied for when purchasing charging stations.
The amount of support is 25% of the net costs and has an upper limit of 3,000 euros for electric vehicles in the L5e to L7e classes, such as the ARI 458 electric transporter or the ARI passenger vehicles. Freight mopeds such as the ARI 145 or ARI 345 (available as a flatbed or with a box body) can also be subsidized in Munich, as vehicle classes L1e to L4e are also included in the subsidy, even for private individuals. The subsidy here is also 25% and the maximum amount paid out is 750 euros. We have compiled a table for you in which you can see the subsidy amount for some of our vehicles:
| Vehicle | Net price | Subsidy amount| Still to be paid |---|---|---|---|---| | ARI 145 Cargo moped | € 3,995.00 | € 750.00 | € 3,245.00 | | ARI 345 Flatbed | € 6,995.00 | € 750.00 | € 6,245.00 | | ARI 458 Box body | € 15,100.00 | € 3.000,00 € | 12.100,00 € | | ARI 458 Tipper | 17.990,00 € | 3.000,00 € | 14.990,00 € | | ARI 802 Passenger vehicle | 10.999,00 € | 2.749,74 € | 8.249,26 € | | ARI 902 Pure | 13.990,00 € | 3.000,00 € | 10.990,00 € |
There is also a further sharing bonus of €200 or €400 if the vehicle is demonstrably "made available to a larger user group via a sharing offer for private purposes".
Who can apply for the subsidy?
Munich is also making progress in terms of who can apply for the subsidy. For example, funding is available for light electric vehicles in classes L1e to L4e (e.g. our ARI 145 and ARI 345 cargo mopeds) and for classes L5e to L7e (e.g. ARI 458 or our passenger vehicles) for private individuals and companies. Only municipalities and authorities are excluded.
Further conditions
The application for funding is initially limited until 31.12.2025. The vehicles must be registered in Munich and predominantly used there. A so-called holding period of 36 months applies, which begins with the payment of the subsidy or the start date of the leasing contract. Leasing is therefore only subsidized for a period of 3 years or more. All vehicles must also be charged using 100 percent renewable energy.
Application and proof
The application for the subsidy must be made BEFORE PURCHASING the vehicle.
